RMA Types

RMA Types determine the expected process for the entire RMA number. These are user defined and maintained via Exo Quick Insert.

RMA Statuses and Status Constraints

RMA Statuses determine the stage through process for the entire RMA number. These are user defined and maintained via Exo Quick Insert.

Warehouse – RMA – Statuses

The paths between statuses may be defined by the Status constraints. These are user defined and maintained via Exo Quick Insert.

Warehouse – RMA – Status Constraints

The From Status and To Status columns represent a valid path between statuses.

The From Location and To Location columns define the sending and receiving location for stock transfer transactions. If the from and To are the same location then no stock transaction is generated.  Location zero is defined as not in the system therefore a one-legged adjustment is created instead of a transfer.

SO Process is a parameter number passed to stored procedure SP_DUO_RMALINE_PROCESS which usually creates sales orders for any debtor documents such as credit notes.  The sales order is then manually processed in the normal way providing the opportunity for authorisation. The procedure can perform different operations for different SO Process numbers (including ‘Do nothing’)

Insert New indicates if a new RMA line may be created as To Status

Track Event determines if an entry will be written to the RMA Events table. For some status paths, the stock transactions may be a sufficient audit trail.

RMA Reasons and Reject Reasons

Two new classes exist under Exocfg > System > Event Log > Event Reason Classes

Warehouse – RMA – Reason Classes

The reason list for each of these is empty when DU is installed on your database for you to define. The Motopartz demo database contains some suggested examples.
